A group of people met to discuss outcomes and outcomes-focused education. The motivations for attending were many and varied. Some were asking, after working with the WA Curriculum Framework for eight years “What is outcomes-focused education all about?” Others felt that, in the light of current professional learning focuses on ‘making consistent judgements’, there is a need for people to be much clearer about outcomes. Some people are working with teachers who are still grappling with the notion of outcomes and the implications for their teaching.
