As we have recently faced the death of friends and relatives we have again begun to think about the significance of reflection in our lives and that of others. Death and dying are particularly poignant reminders of the folly of filling our lives with busyness and clutter but are also points at which we may stop and celebrate life.

We have also realised that there are many ways in which reflection is structured and can be built into our lives in positive ways if we only reframe our perceptions of their purpose.
