Katie Altham did three workshops with a group of people meeting at 272 Oxford St where we identified our 13 archetypes. It was a fabulous process and all who participated enjoyed it very much.
So, in 2008 at our yearly business review, we used the archetypes to think about Learning Conversations!
We used questions from Katie's 'How to' book to describe the business in the areas of the 'Who Am I? Map': Communication, Beliefs, Money (Needs), Relationships, Values, Office, Unconscious, Feminine, Creativity, Work, Masculine and Outcomes.
We used the 'Who Are They?' book to find archetypes with similar words and identified the Archetypes that were possible for each area. Then we used the larger 'Who Am I?' book to narrow the possibilities down.
Once we knew which archetypes were in which area of the map, we looked at our personal maps to see what was similar and different. Then we focused on three areas and used the questions from the 'How to' book to see what we might do to strengthen these areas of the business.
We found that:
Learning Conversations is more than a sum of the archetypes of Anna and Marie
Learning Conversations has times when it is in the light of an archetype and other times when it is in the shadow
Looking at the descriptions of the shadow enabled us to think about the ways in which our weaknesses can be turned into strengths and our threats into opportunities.
The descriptions provided in the Who am I? book made it easy to write belief statements for the business.
